Book: The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova

Really, really great book! It's about vampires, but it's so intellectually written, and the author goes over so much European/Asian history, it's fascinating. You'll get quite the education reading it. I stayed up late several nights trying to finish it, and could hardly be bothered to go to work because I was so engrossed. :P

If the vampire genre isn't an immediate turn-off for you, do yourself a favor and read this book!

(Tanja/Anja, it even takes place partly in Amsterdam, LOL.)

Fun Sara! Thanks...My oldest daughter Tessa loves anything spooky, creepy and Vampirish! I might order it for her for her 17th birthday. And you know what goes for Vegas...goes the same for Amsterdam, haha. Hoping you're well, huggies Anja

I agree that this is an awesome book. I had a hard time getting into it, but once I got past about the first 250 pages, I had a really hard time putting it down.

For a much more light-hearted vampire read, I recommend the "Twilight" series by Stephenie Meyer. It's in the young adult section but is a great series.
