I was dropping my dog off at the groomer this morning and didn't pay attention to the speed limit sign. The cop followed me right into the parking lot, where of course everyone was gawking. Talk about embarrassing! He wrote the ticket for 9mph over the speed limit (he was generous because I was actually going 15 over) and also got me for my insurance card being expired. Not my insurance policy, but the insurance CARD. Kind of ridiculous. I thought they could look those things up. So now I have to bring proof of my insurance to the courthouse, and I'll take the online course to keep points from being added to my license.
What a lovely start to the day.

I recently saw a bumper sticker that read "I am only speeding because I really have to poop" and thought it was really funny.
