It was Memorial Day weekend, this past weekend, and I spent almost all of it with E again. There were a few awkward moments (he tried some things that I wasn't really "ready" for but thinking about them objectively they were romantic and/or spontaneous, so I guess I have to give him points for that) but overall my weekend ended feeling very sweet and tender. We were both off on Monday because of the holiday so that meant one more day spent together. We went swimming in his pool - well, I went swimming, he sat on the steps shivering from the cold, LOL, tried a Thai restaurant (good but a little expensive) and spent hours and hours in bed. Watched a few movies but really spent a lot of time talking. Usually I leave very early in the morning to check on the dogs but Monday morning I stayed until after 12 and it was really nice. He even remarked it was nice. We talked about all sorts of things - family history, African geography and history, he tried teaching me a few more Yoruba words but I can't remember them now, LOL. It was really fun. There was teasing (whining?) again about why do I have to go to Pennsylvania this coming weekend. He has made a few comments about my "boyfriend in Pennsylvania" and of course I say no, no boyfriend. (Sigh...)
Oh, he found out I have cats last night. I told him 4. I expected him to flip out but he said cats are more independent, etc. I also told him I'm trying to find them new homes, which I think I will be. We'll see. He may come back in a few days and tell me the cats are really a big deal for him too, just like the dogs.
